This painting is the result of finding some items around the house and setting it up for a still-life. The challenge was figuring out how to paint a basket. Lots of trial and error till I was able to break it down and then reconstuct in watercolors.
I am a native Texan and a 20+-year San Antonio resident. After a career in the architectural design field, I traded my drawing board for an easel and work exclusively in watercolor. My paintings reflect my love of color and light, the garden and nature’s surprises, and the uniqueness of people—their feelings and love of life. I have studied under several nationally recognized artists.
My enjoyment of photography supports and contributes to my watercolor work.

It is beautiful. I really love your paintings. I have been checking your blog waiting for a new one to appear. Keep up the good work.
Great to see you back on your blog! I love this painting. Can't wait to see more. When are you going to post your "Little Church"?
The onions have long been one of my favorites. It evokes the same feelings that an old masters painting does.
